1.  What is Easy TopUp?

 

a.        Easy TopUp allows Digicel prepaid subscribers to register with their Republic Debit cards (One Card) or any Credit Card at specified retail outlets, to enable them to request top up at any time from their handset via a short code.

b.      Digicel post paid customers can also subscribe to top up Digicel prepaid users from their Republic bank account or any credit card account.

 

 

2.       What do I need to subscribe for this service?

 

a.        Any valid Republic Debit Card (One Card) OR a Credit Card from any Bank  

 

b.       An active Digicel prepaid or post paid account.

 

3.       Where Do I register for the service?

 

a. The Easy TopUp team will be placed at strategic locations which will be advertised for your   

    convenience.

 

b. At Digicel flagship locations

 

 

4.       Does my registration have an expiry date?

a. There is no expiry date on any registration. Unless you change your debit / credit card or

     obtain a new Digicel prepaid or post paid phone number, you never need to register  

     again.

 

 

5.       Is there a cost to register for the Service?

 

a.       No. Registration is free, but you will be required to make an instant purchase after registration to ensure you understand how to use the Easy TopUp.

 

 

6.       How do I use the service?

 

a. After registration, to use the service you are required to complete the following steps:-

                

·         Dial *190#

·         Enter the top up amount, and press send.

·         Confirm your top up amount by pressing 1 to proceed and press send.

·         Lastly you will be asked to enter the password which was entered at the outlet during your registration.

·         Once the top up was successful, you will receive a confirmation message from Digicel with the details of the transaction.

 

7.       Are any other services available through Easy TopUp?

a. Yes, dial *190# send from your Digicel prepaid phone for the menu of services available, including

   the ability to top up any Digicel prepaid number from your bank account.

 

8.       What’s the minimum and maximum I can request via Easy TopUp?

 

a. Customers can request any value between TT $10 and $200 per transaction, and up to    

   $500 per day.

 

 

9.       What denominations can I request via Easy TopUp?

 

a.        Users can request any denomination in whole figures, no cents e.g. TT $43  but not TT$43.50.

 

 

 

10.   Do I still get to benefit from the top up promotions that Digicel offers when I top up using Easy TopUp?

 

a.       Yes, you would still be able to benefit from Digicel’s top up promotions.

 

 

11.   Is there a service fee per transaction?

 

a.        There are no service charges; all that is charged is the exact amount you requested in airtime which is deducted from your bank account. e.g. If  you requested $41.00 in top-up, you will be charged $41.00 exactly.

 

 

 

12.   Can I register more than one mobile number on my Bank card for Easy TopUp?

 

a. No you cannot. However, users do not need to register other numbers on their card in  

   order to top them up. Simply dial *190# and select option 2 “Top Up other mobile” from  

   the Main Menu. Using this feature you can top up any Digicel prepaid number directly from

   your bank account.  

 

13.   Can I register multiple cards to my Digicel prepaid number?

a.       No, you can’t. The last card registered to a phone number overwrites the card before making the last card account the only valid account.

 

 

 

 

14.   Can I request credit from my bank account for another mobile number?

 

  1. Yes. You can top up any Digicel prepaid number from your bank account.

·         Simply dial *190# and press send

·         Select option 2 “Top Up other mobile” press send

·         Enter the amount and press send

·         Enter the persons mobile number, press send

·         Press 1 to confirm amount, press send

·         Enter your passcode and press send.

·         The top up will be sent to the persons mobile phone and your account will be credited. 

·         Both you and the receiving customer will get a confirmation message as proof of the transaction.

 

 

 

15.   What if I want to change my Easy Top Up passcode?

a.  To change your passcode, you must :

·         Dial *190# send.

·         Enter 3 to select “My Account” and press send

·         Enter 2 to Select “Change Passcode” and press send

·         Enter current passcode

·         Enter new passcode twice when prompted

·         You will receive a confirmation message stating that your passcode was successfully changed.

 

 

16.   If I forgot my passcode what can I do?

 

    1. If you forgot your passcode you must re- register at any advertised location.
    2. For more    information,

                                                               i.      Dial *190# send

                                                              ii.      Select option 3 “My Account”

                                                          iii.      Select option 3 “Forgot Passcode”

                                                          iv.      You will then be instructed where to re-register.

 

17.   If my credit card / Republic bank Debit card is already registered with the online top up service, can I use Easy TopUp code to request credit rather than visiting the dealer store to register?

 

    1. No. Customers can register their credit cards online to use ONLINE TOP UP and must use their online Username, Password and CVC to access the service.

 

    1. Easy TopUp is a similar product but users must visit a flagship store to register and use their passcode registered on the Point of Sale terminal to access the service.

 

 

18.   Can I use this service while roaming?

 

a.        Yes, the USSD request should be available while roaming. Please check with Digicel to ensure that your account is set up for roaming.

 

 

 

 

19.   How long does it take for the credit to hit my account?

 

a.       Credit hits the account immediately after requesting funds from your debit card (Once Card)/credit card. You will receive a confirmation SMS from Digicel when this has occurred.

 

 

 

20.   What if a customer wants to deactivate a registered mobile number or cancel their Easy TopUp registration?

 

a. Customer should call Digicel Customer Care by dialling 100 from their mobile phone or  

   399-9999 from a landline phone.

 

21.  I registered with my credit Card and saw on my statement I was charged $1 what was this for?

 

a.        During registration for Credit Card users, the Bank is sent a request to verify the Credit Card which is registered is in good standing with the Bank i.e not stolen etc. The $1 is not charged to your account but is held for a maximum of 10 days as banking policy until the card is proven valid.

 

 

22.   Do I see these transactions on my Statement?

 

b.      Yes. A line item named "DIGICEL TOPUP" appears on your statement with the amount of the transaction.
