Digicel Trinidad Limited launched our new Post Paid Value Plan Options. These plans will replace the Current Post Paid Plans.

 

Persons on the Current Plans will remain on those Plans

 

All 2G / 4G Data Plan Add – On’s are still available and customers on the new Post Paid Base plans can sign up for these.

Will the “old” VOICE/DATA PLANS still be available?

What are the SMART PLANS about?
Smart Plans are the options available to customers with “Smart Phones” and provide the

Customer with a voice, SMS and data bundle

 

 
What are the Data Plan options available to customers? All current 2G / 4G data plans are still available to new customers who may not

                           want to sign – up for our “Smart Plans”

 

Is the Security Deposit the same as the current Post Paid Plans?

  •  Security deposits are required for subs purchasing handsets at the point of purchase
  • For Customers signing up for the Post-paid Base Plans and purchasing handset – Security Deposit if $300.00
  • For Customers signing up for the Post Paid “Smart Plans” and purchasing handset – Security Deposit $600.00

 

     Are all customers required to sign – up for our E- Bill Service?

 

·         E- Bill must be provided to customers who are activating the new “Smart Plan” Options.

·         ‘Out of Bundle” VOICE / SMS Charges still apply to Roaming, International SMS, and SMS to BMOBILE, Calls to Fixed Lines / BMobile and Digicel “Out of Bundle” minutes / SMS. The rates remain as below:

·         Default Credit Limits are the Sub Fee + Vat – which means that the customer will not be able to access any “Out of Bundle” / Chargeable services.

 

How the Customer’s Credit Limit is now calculated?

 

·         The limit is now added on to the customer’s monthly subscription fee).

E.g. Sub signs up for Smart Plan 500 @ $299 and wants a credit limit of $500; his bill will be: $299+ VAT + $500 =$843.85 maximum

 

 

What is the Default Credit Limit?

 

·         The Default Credit on the new plans are the Sub Fee + Vat

·         If customers choose the Default Credit Limits – they will not be able to access “Out of Bundle” / Chargeable services.

·         This is an ideal option for customers who do not want to pay any more than their monthly sub fee.

 

 

Why is the default credit limit not set?

 

·         Customers can choose a Credit Limit that is affordable to them and one that suits their mobile usage.

·         Customers can choose a credit limit up to $500 at the point of purchase and it would be immediately applied

·         Customers can also choose a credit limit over $500 at the point of purchase but this would be applied upon successful credit check. The credit limit would be set at $500 until that point.

 

How can customers increase their Credit Limit?

 

TEMPORARY AND PERMENANT CREDIT LIMIT INCREASES UP TO AND INCLUDING $500.00 

 

·         If a customer wants to increase to the next available CREDIT LIMIT (e.g. 300 – 500) they can simply call into Customer Care. We require 24 hours to action request.

 

AGENT: Must verify customer using regular verification methods, AND send request via Service Desk Ticket to TL. 

 

 

TEMPORARY AND PERMENANT CREDIT LIMIT INCREASES $750.00 AND ABOVE:

 

·         If a customer wants to increase his Credit Limit to over $500.00. (E.g. $500 to $750) the request must go through our Finance department credit check process.

·         The regular process for CL increase will apply (Written request faxed to helpdesk along with copy of ID; Helpdesk will forward to Credit & Collections).

·         We require 24 hours, or 1 Business Day to action this request.

 

 

 

 

POINTS TO NOTE FOR CREDIT LIMITS:

 

·         Please note that for new customers, they must have at least one month of payment in full on time. Existing customers account must be in good standing.

 

·         If a customer wants to increase to any Credit Limit higher than the next available (e.g. 500 – 3000) the regular process for CL increase will apply (Written request faxed to helpdesk along with copy of ID; helpdesk will forward to Credit & Collections).

 

 

CUSTOMERS MOVING FROM CURRENT POSTPAID PLANS TO THE NEW PLAN OPTIONS

 

If I am on an existing post-paid (12month) contract and want to switch to one of the new plans, what must be done?

 

·         Customer must visit the dealer store to fill out a new MSA form.

 

·         If customer is taking a Postpaid Base plan the contract will be extended for 18months, if they are taking a Postpaid Smart plan they will need to pay the extra $300 deposit and the contract will be also extended for 18 months.

 

 

If I am on an existing (18 month) contract and want to switch to one of the new plans, what must be done?

 

·         Customer must visit dealer store to sign new MSA.

 

·Customer will not need to pay any additional deposit.

 

 

Is the post-paid Cash Back promotion applicable to new activations?

 

 

No, this promotion isn’t applicable to new activations however existing postpaid customers who qualifies for this promotion will continue to benefit from same.

 

                                CRITERIA FOR POST PAID PLANS: 

 

 

 

•       Mobile Services Agreement - completed in FULL and signed by the customer.

 

•       Copy of Applicant’s Identification – Acceptable are Government issued identification (that is, Driver’s License, National ID, Pass port).

Note that the ID must be

ü  In the applicant’s name

ü  Valid (expired no more than one month past)

ü  Contains a visible picture

ü  Contains a legible signature

NB: For Foreign Nationals, a copy of their Work Permit or documentation from Immigration stating their name, nationality and duration of local employment as  well as a copy of their foreign ID is required.

 

•       Copy of Proof of Address – Acceptable are the following:

1.       Utility Bills (TSTT (fixed line), T&TEC, Flow, WASA); or

2.       Printed or mailed Bank Statements ( RBTT, Republic, Scotia Bank, First Citizens, Unit Trust, Credit Unions, Insurance Company or any credit card statement) – must have printed address.

Note that the following must be confirmed:

ü  In the applicant’s name

ü  Statement’s are no more than 3 months old

ü  Where the document provided is not in the applicant’s name, the addressee must submit a letter authorising the use of the address by the applicant and a copy of the addressee’s ID must also be provided.

NB: A person’s Driver’s Permit is not valid proof of address.

 

 

•       Security Deposit – refundable after 18 months.

ü  If customer is taking a Postpaid Base plan they are required to pay a $300 deposit.

ü  If customer is taking a Postpaid Smart plan they are required to pay a $600 deposit.
